Plains Midstream Canada’s operations are subject to stringent federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations governing the discharge of materials into the environment or otherwise relating to protecting the environment.

Our deeply integrated Environment, Health and Safety (“EH&S”) Management Programs are at the core of our operations. These programs include management commitment and leadership, employee training and awareness, inspections and audits, performance and achievement recognition, emergency preparedness and response, communications and continuous improvement. Adherence to these programs has been and continues to be paramount to the success of our business and the safety of our operations.

Our EH&S safety programs have experienced outstanding results and have received both government and industry recognition. This recognition is due to the high EH&S standards Plains adheres to as well as our excellent record of maintaining a low number of work-related accidents and/or injuries. Since our formation in 2001, our incident rate has been consistently lower than the industry average.
