Report Writer/Data Analyst

Plains is currently seeking an ambitious, hard-working individual to develop reports on existing or new systems, and review the data within system databases to help identify data anomalies or troubleshoot problems. The candidate will work with the development team as well as end-users in identifying report requirements. The candidate should be able to adapt to a dynamic environment and provide results in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a team environment to develop solutions towards a common goal;
- Using database querying tools, troubleshoot problems or help identify trends that are occurring in various systems;
- Develop reports to meet internal and external requirements;
- Analyze and understand database structures within business applications;
- Identify requirements and work with end-user throughout development and testing cycles;
- Adhere to development and documentation standards;
- Follow formal change control processes and procedures for implementing new changes.
Qualifications:
- University Degree or equivalent in computer sciences;
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with relational Databases;
- Ability to use Database querying tools;
- Familiarity with SQL Server or Oracle;
- Experience with any/all of the following software products: Microsoft Dynamics AX, SQL Reporting Services, Database Querying tools such as InfoMaker, Crystal Reports or Toad;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities ;
- Willingness to share knowledge and learn from other members of the team.
